You might just think it’s like any other Tuesday throughout the year, but it’s not. Since it’s the first Tuesday in August that means its “National Night Out Against Crime”

A tradition & celebration that started 32 years ago, to bring communities & their local police departments closer together.

The celebration started in the Town of Wallkill 14 years ago, and has gotten bigger and better every year. This year the Rotarians of Wallkill East joined the celebration with over 20 percent of the clubs members volunteering their time and energy!

We helped:

Cook the food
Stuffed the buns (stop laughing)
Serve the food
Clean the tables
Chaperoned the bounce houses
Explained “what is Rotary all about”

Wallkill East Rotary was part of a team of 21 volunteers that served close to 3,000 hotdogs and hamburgers, from 6 to 9:30PM.

This was our first community service project of the 2015-2016, and a very successful start to our club year.

August 2, 2016 – Mark your calendars, “National Night Out Against Crime” 2016!
