The following are minutes from our August 17, 2010 meeting.

Upcoming Dates:
August 18th, TOMORROW! -- HONORehg Birthday Party, 6-8pm.
Month of August -- We will collect school supplies at each meeting in August for the Pine Bush School District
August 23rd -- Hudson Valley Renegades fundraiser. See below for more details.
September 4th -- Hudson Valley Renegades fundraiser.
September 25th -- Wiffle for Kids! A volunteer sign-up sheet was passed around. Please help if you can- we need everyone's support!
November 12th -- Sports Memorabilia Auction. This is a fundraiser for our club. More details will follow, but please mark your calendars!
January 15, 2011 -- Next Rotary Blood Drive
Announcements:
Bill Bassett reminded those who had signed up to help with the HONORehg birthday party. He and Sue will be there at 5:30pm to start setting up if anyone can come early.
Bela reminded everyone to bring their school supplies to our August meetings. He will collect all our donations and bring them to Jill Weed in Pine Bush.
Bela also reminded everyone about our two Renegades dates- August 23rd & September 4th. Ticket packages are $20 each and include a grandstand ticket, hot dog & soda voucher, and a Renegades baseball hat. $8 from every ticket we sell will be donated back to our club so purchase your tickets today and spread the word!!
Laurette is recovering well and thanked us for the flowers we sent her.
Speaker:
Jack Austin spoke to us about the GSE team's trip to Taiwan. The team traveled to Taiwan from February 22 - March 24, 2010. They visited so many different places including social service offices, hospitals, museums, national parks and forests to name a few. Jack also explained to us the new way of GSE- "Future Vision." Our district will be a part of this pilot and instead of the GSE group having diverse vocations the team will consist of individuals with the same vocation.
