(1/18) ANNOUNCEMENTS: Pancake Breakfast – Mike reminded everyone that the pancake breakfast is two weeks away – Sunday January 27^th.  He sent around the sign-up sheet for volunteers for the day of the event. He also reminded everyone that the deadline for the placement advertisements is Thursday January 17, 2013, and he encouraged everyone to solicit for ads.  At this time, we currently have commitments for 45 ads, which is down from last year. Mike also reminded everyone that the 50/50 tickets have to either be turned into him before Sunday the 27^th, for those people not helping that day; and for those volunteering the day of, they can bring the 50/50 tickets with them. GUEST SPEAKER: Lewis Turken of the Rotary Shelter Box Program provided a very informative presentation on the Rotary Shelter Box Program and is encouraging Clubs to become a Shelter Box Hero Club:  donate $1,000.00 a year which would fund 3 shelter boxes or 1 box per year for 3 years.
