ANNOUNCEMENTS:
Wiffle for Kids is right around the corner!!  We are still looking for sponsorships (Corporate and Pinch Hitter), corporate and competitive teams, and prize donations.  Contact Lauren or Carl about sponsorships and Nick about prizes.  Please plan on helping out at the event!!

The board approved two donations at our meeting last week:  $125 to the Jr. Leadership Orange program and $100 to Inspire in memory of Bill Devitt and Bill Myers.

Carl is working on finding a landscaping company that would be interested in maintaining our sign (flower bed and grass surrounding it) on Route 211.  (The grass is technically the NYS DOT's responsibility and they have been contacted, however, it is not a high priority for them.)  In the meantime, Carl is organizing an "emergency clean-up team" to go out on Friday, August 5th at 10am.  Please contact Carl if you can help.

Our new Rotary shirts have been ordered and will be in next week.  (Thank you Kim!!)

We will be collecting backpacks and school supplies for the month of August.  Jill Weed organizes the 'Backspacks for all Children' program and would like all donations by August 26th so they can be distributed to children before school starts in September.  Bill Bassett will assist in delivering the supplies to Jill.   Suggested donations are:  backpacks, glue sticks, boxes of 24 crayons, marble notebooks, 3-ring binders, binder dividers, pocket folders, loose leaf paper, pencils, rulers, and blue or black pens.
