A Message from District Governor Dorawala
Dear Rotarians: My year as your Governor is rapidly coming to a close. Savi and I are grateful for your love and honored to serve our beloved District 7210. It has been an incredible journey and we enjoyed every minute and every aspect of it. From you we have received more than we could give.
We are all unique in our passion for service. We look for every opportunity to serve no matter what the need. And we do it with love for each other and for those we serve...
At our District Conference, we learned about different aspects of Rotary from the guest speakers and we heard from our own Rotarians about their favorite projects. I wish to thank the Conference Planning Committee for their tireless effort in making this the most unique conference. We had 196 Rotarians representing 47 clubs and 98 guests. Above all, it was a lot of fun.
At the District Conference, we unveiled District Brochure focusing on us - the Rotarians, we handed out State of the District book summarizing our year together, and we showed a video about the River. All of these will be useful tools in our effort to spread the word of Rotary and to recruit new members. Please contact District PR Chair Bryan Bunch or RadioRotary Chair Betty Renner to obtain copies for your use.
Once again, my sincere thanks to the District Committees, Regional Assistant Governors, District Secretary Nick Constantino and Treasurer Marty Nowak for their excellent service. I thank the past and future District Governors for their help and guidance throughout the year.
We often say that Rotary exists at the club level. I thank our team of Club Presidents and Officers for their dedication to continuous improvement in the way we serve our communities. Finally, my thanks to all of you Rotarians for sharing your time, talent and personal resources to help our brothers and sisters around the world who may not be as fortunate as we are.
Only a few short years ago, I made a choice to join Rotary. I am glad I did. Ours is a great organization; our four-way test teaches us to "PURSUE TRUTH WITH LOVE." That will ultimately lead to peace and prosperity around the world.
